My Trip to New York

Very recently, I took a trip to New York to visit my cousin. My cousin Amy, who is currently attending Fordam Law School and living in Brooklyn. During my stay, she was extremely busy with school and homework. I had a chance to explore the city with my own two feet. I had a map in one hand and my metro card in the other, and I was well on my way. I discovered that the city is SO EASY to navigate through! I felt confident in getting to the places I needed to go. Me being able to navigate lifted a weight off the shoulders of Amy, she was not longer worried about me getting lost or bored. After being in the city all day, Amy and I would meet up for a delicious dinner and call it a night.
On the last day of my visit, I went to a concert at the historic Beacon Theater, located on Broadway between West 74th and 75th Street. I went to see "Monsters of Folk," featuring Conor Oberst, M. Ward, Mike Mogis, and Yim Yames. This band is pretty new, but all of the people in the band are a part of other bands. Conor Oberst is part of my favorite band, Bright Eyes, so I was especially excited to see him. The concert was one of the best I had ever been to! It was even recorded and will probably be published in the future!
My trip to New York was one of the best that I have ever had. I'm looking forward to being independent on other trips that I take, whether it be New York or elsewhere!
